WinE Ghana is a network of Ghanaian women engineering practitioners and student members within the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE).
The association was formed two decades ago, through the vision and support of Ing. Prof. K.A. Andam (of Blessed Memory), the 30th President of the Ghana Institution of Engineering.
Our primary role is advocacy. A cause that seeks to acknowledge, promote and support the enrolment of more females into Engineering programs. We advocate for a more decisive approach in the formulation and the implementation of policies and other factors that affects the practice of engineering in Ghana.
We are bold, we are active, we are achievers
We are discerning in our activities.
We nurture projects and developments to inspire
We offer mentoring programs for females studying and practicing engineering to enable them to capitalize on opportunities available.
Our Workshops serve as the center of learning about best practices in the field and also teach strategies on how to maintain the right life balance
Our forums gives practitioners the opportunity to share ideas on emerging trends in the industry and to explore other work-life balance strategies.
WINE partners with institutions to organize programmes to educate girls to pursue science, technology, mathematics & engineering (STEM).
